II. Matters concerning the generation, reproduction, and distribution of industrial design documents and of secondary sources of industrial design information, i.e., official gazettes
Kyrgyzpatent publishes the Official Bulletin “Intellectualdyk Menchik” (Intellectual Property) which contains official information on inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, service marks, firm names, selective achievements, computer programs and databases, registered in the State Register as well as information on their legal status. Industrial design information is published in the Official Bulletin in Kyrgyz and Russian and comprises bibliographic data and representations. Information about 9 industrial designs was published in 2003.
Bibliographical data of industrial designs are preserved under WIPO standard in machine-readable form and in paper copies.
The systematic, numerical and numeral indexes to industrial designs, published in 2002 were issued in 2003.
The Official Bulletin is transmitted to the State Patent and Technical Library (SPTL).

Information search in the database of Kyrgyzpatent is made automatically on all bibliographic data.
Information search for patent granting is implemented under materials presented by the applicant, under fund of protect documents for industrial designs, registered and issued in the Kyrgyz Republic; under the Russian Federation fund; and industrial designs protected in accordance with the Hague agreement.
V. Activities in the field of computerized search systems for industrial designs
The activity on development of the local network of Kyrgyzpatent has been continued in 2002, there is now a possibility to search in Internet. The complete information about Kyrgyzpatent activity, normative legal base of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of the intellectual property is available on the Kyrgyzpatent web site.
At present time Kyrgyzpatent has three local networks in three offices which include 35 personal computers. In all three offices an Internet access is available, in two offices Internet access is provided through dedicated channels with speed of 64 kb/second. The total number of computers is 100 units, including Pentium II and lower (53 units), Pentium III and higher (47 units). A reserve of computers is periodically renewed.

Kyrgyzpatent realizes the interchange by Official Gazettes with 22 foreign countries and 11 CIS countries.
In 2003 Kyrgyzpatent sent 12 issues of Official Gazettes “Intellectualdyk Menchik”, as well as Enclosures “Annual index” and Annual Report of Kyrgyzpatent.
The magazine “Kyrgyzpatent Bulletin” was directed this year to Offices on Copyright of 11 CIS countries.
VIII. Matters concerning education and training including technical assistance to developing countries
Specialists of Kyrgyzpatent take part in international seminars and training courses on intellectual property issues.
Interuniversity department “Intellectual Property” implements the teaching of university students and researchers in the field of intellectual property.
