Systems accessible to the external users

The petitioning system is an online form designed for patent-related services. The tool is integrated with the GRU/PAG, SINPI, and SisBioList systems.

It is the system responsible for issuing the Federal Payment Guide (GRU). Through the PAG system, users can access information about generated and paid GRUs, consult client and attorney data, perform bank reconciliation, and automatically register the receipt and internal processing of documents.

The RPI (Industrial Property Gazette) is the central system for publishing the industrial property journal editions, available on the INPI portal. Through this portal, users can track the official communications (despachos) issued for patent applications. The information can be accessed in full (PDF) or in a simplified format (TXT or XML).

It is the intellectual property search system, which allows users to monitor the progress of proceedings after logging in with a username and password. It also enables anonymous (unauthenticated) users to perform searches.

1.Classification is allotting one or more classification symbols (e.g., IPC symbols) to a patent application, either before or during search and examination, which symbols are then published with the patent application.

2. Preclassification is allotting an initial broad classification symbol (e.g., IPC class or subclass, or administrative unit) to a patent application, using human or automated means for internal administrative purposes (e.g., routing an application to the appropriate examiner).  Usually preclassification is applied by the administration of an office.

3. Reclassification is the reconsideration and usually the replacement of one or more previously allotted classification symbols to a patent document, following a revision and the entry into force of a new version of the Classification system (e.g., the IPC).  The new symbols are available on patent databases.
