In 2007 a number of 926 patent applications were filed under the Patent Law no. 64 of 1991. Of the sum of 926 filed patent applications, 967 patent applications were filed by Romanian applicants, the difference of 59 patent applications being filed by foreign applicants (35 applications filed by national route and 24 applications filed by PCT route).
