During 2012 the Office received 2,870 trade mark applications, what represents decrease by 7.6 per cent in comparing with the previous year.
When compared with 2011, the number of domestic trade mark applications decreased by 4.9 per cent to 2,218.
In 2012, 1,855 international trade mark applications were filed under the Madrid Agreement and Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement. It represents decrease by 8.7 per cent when compared with 2011.
Total number of registered national trade marks increased by 10.5 per cent to 2,552.
The number of domestic registered trade marks increased by 10.5 per cent (1,892), the number of trade marks registered for foreign applicants increased by 10.5 per cent to 660.
By December 31, 2012 there were 48.996 valid trade marks registered in the Office register.
