Compared to 2008, the total number of national trademark applications filings in 2009 is reduced for 1093 applications. At the same time the number of trademark applications filed under the Madrid Agreement is also reduced for 2181 applications. We had 9537 applications in 2008 and in 2009 total number is 6263 trademark applications.On the other hand, the Trademark department granted 9256 registrations in 2009 against 8767 in 2008.
