The total number of the filed applications on industrial designs in 2003 was 139. The overwhelming majority of the applications were filed by the national applicants – 87%, in reporting year the share of foreign applicants was 13 % ofm the total number of the filed applications. The information on the applications for industrial designs includes the petitions for modification of the preliminary patent and applications for granting of the preliminary patents to the applications for granting of the patents on industrial designs (84).
There were 73 industrial designs registered in the State Register in 2003. The overwhelming majority of the registered industrial designs belong to national applicants (99 %), the share of foreign applicants is only 1 %. The information on filing of the applications and registration on industrial designs for 2002-2003 is given in the Table 1 (see attachment).
