Information concerning the Czech trademarks is published in the Official Bulletin (Vestnik UPV), part B, issued monthly in 270 pieces. This Bulletin contains the following types of announcements:
- Publications of trademark applications
- Trademark registrations
- Trademark renewals
- Trademark assignments
- Change of data concerning trademark owners
- Change in the list of goods and services
- Change of the wording or representation of trademarks
- Lapse of trademark rights
- Registration of lincence agreements in respect of trademarks
- International registration of trademarks
- Cancellations of national trademarks
- Official decisions.
The Official Bulletin is published also on Office's web site starting from No. 1/2000.

III. Matters concerning classifying, reclassifying and indexing of trademark information
The eight edition of the Nice Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks is used since January 1, 2002, for the purposes of trademark filing and registration. The Czech translation of this edition was published in 2002.
According to the valid trademark legislation, the trademark application shall contain a list of goods or services for which the mark is to be registered. Goods and services are listed in sequence of classes of the Nice Classification and the appropriate number of this classification is mentioned.
The fifth edition of the Vienna Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks is used since January 1, 2003.
In order to assist the applicants in the orientation in the above mentioned trademark classifications, classification systems were displayed on the web site of the Office.
IV. Trademark manual search file establishment and upkeep
The manual search file is not built nor used since 1996.
The trademark gazettes from foreign offices and ROMARIN CD-ROMs and DVDs from WIPO are received.
V. Activities in the field of computerized trademark search systems
Search systems for Office staff:
"Tradis" - internal information system for trademark applications procedure (national trademarks in the national procedure, national trademarks in the international procedure, international trademarks) - operated online;

Development software Oracle Developer.
“TORNADO” the new version of the search system for 2002 was prepared.

Internet search system (national trademarks and international trademarks valid in the Czech Republic) – updating each 10 minutes;

VI. Administration of trademark services available to the public (relating to facilities, e.g., for lodging applications, registering trademarks, assisting clients with search procedures, obtaining official publications and registry extracts)
Trademark information services for the public are provided in the Trademark information center (information concerning trademark applications filing, telephone queries, procedure information etc.), in the reading room (various kinds of trademark searches) or on the basis of orders (trademark searches).
In 2002, 2,495 trademark searches for the public were carried out.
VII. Matters concerning mutual exchange of trademark documentation and information
Trademark official bulletins in paper form are received on exchange basis.
Participation in the CD-ROM TRACES project (electronic data sending).
Participation in the Project for Eastern Europe of the Compu-Mark company (electronic data sending).
VIII. Matters concerning education and training including technical assistance to developing countries
Industrial Property Training Institute organized short-time training courses for the public on on-line trademark searches.
In the framework of courses organized by the WIPO Worldwide Academy, the Office welcomed trainees from Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
The international conference EUROFORUM on Community trademarks was organised in Prague on May 6-7, 2002.
