Statistics: changes in terms of application filings and grants with respect to previous year; trends or areas experiencing rapid changes
Applications for national UK patents went from 23,040 in 2014 to 22,801 in 2015 (-1%). Of these, applications from UK residents decreased from 66% of applications in 2014 to 65% in 2015. The number of Patents granted increased from 4986 in 2014 to 5464 in 2015 (+10%).
