During the transition to ST.92, IP offices that use SFTP to retrieve priority documents from WIPO DAS have two options for how to receive documents.

Option 1 – No changes to your existing setup

You can continue retrieving the core PDF via SFTP as usual. If you need the full original PDDP document, you can access it separately through the WIPO DAS Office Portal — no changes to your current procedures are required.

Option 2 – Receive full PDDP packages via SFTP (temporary workaround)

If your office is ready to handle PDDP packages through your automated SFTP workflow, you can opt in to receive them directly. To enable this:

  1. Inform the WIPO DAS team that your office is ready to accept PDDP packages via SFTP.
  2. Once enabled, WIPO DAS will include any sequence listings or additional files present in the PDDP package — but not in the core PDF — inside the ZIP response delivered via SFTP.

What to do next

If you wish to switch to Option 2, please contact the WIPO DAS team to update your office configuration. If you are happy with your current setup, no action is needed.

For sftp offices to download the original PDDP packages, they can use office portal without making changes to their existing procedures.

But if offices are ready to accept PDDP packages as a temporary work-around for automation (through the sftp), they should inform WIPO DAS team to enable the inclusion of these packages whenever available.

from sftp to V2, we intend to make a minor change in their process to avoid manual downloads of sequence listings or any additional files that are present in the PDDP packages but not included in the core PDF.

We have made a minor configuration to support this only for the transition period.
