In order to provide the possibility of keeping records in an electronic format when providing State functions, the following work was carried out at FIPS in 2014: - a system of paperless prosecution during the examination of applications for registration of agreements in respect of industrial property (Agreements) has been put into operation;
- a system of paperless prosecution for examining applications to enter changes into the registers of inventions, utility models, and industrial designs (including to extend and renew a patent) (Patent Prosecution) has been put into operation.
- an An automated system for managing the State Register of Inventions of the Russian Federation, State Register of Utility Models of the Russian Federation, State Register of Industrial Designs of the Russian Federation, Register of Computer Software, Register of Databases, and Register of Topographies of Integrated Circuits on Electronic Carriers has been put into operation;
- an automated paperless document flow system was implemented for examining industrial design applications (Industrial Design Applications);
