II. Matters concerning the generation, reproduction, and distribution of secondary sources of trademark information, i.e., trademark gazettes
Publishing, printing, copying techniques
Announcements on Trademarks registered in the State Register (bibliographical data and pictures) were published in 12 issues of the Official Bulletin of National Institute of Intellectual Property (NIIP) "Oнеркесiр Меншiгi – Промышленная собственность ("Industrial Property") in 2006.
The bibliographical data and pictures of Trademarks under the WIPO standards are stored in the NIIP database in machine-readable form; the full texts of descriptions are stored on the paper carriers.
III. Matters concerning classifying, reclassifying and indexing of trademark information
Classification and reclassification activities; Classification systems used, e.g., International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (Nice Classification), International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks (Vienna Classification), other classification (please indicate whether goods and services for the registration of marks and whether the figurative elements of marks are classified by your Office and, if so, which classification(s) is (are) used)
NIIP uses International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (Nice Classification) and International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks (Vienna Classification), other classifications are not used. The search of Trademarks is implemented on all bibliographical data.
IV. Trademark manual search file establishment and upkeep
For the purpose of the registration of Marks the search is carried out in automation condition on the database of trademarks registered in NIIP as well as on international trademarks and applications, which had been filed with NIIP for consideration.
The search is made on bibliographical data and key words. Searching is carried out also on the International Trademarks database ROMARIN.
V. Activities in the field of computerized trademark search systems
The further development of NIIP in-house system is meant for receiving and examination of applications and searching. The system on-line ROMARIN and DVD ROMARIN is used as well as INTERNET for NIIP information providing, searching and information receiving from other sources.

NIIP and Republic Patent File have fund of registered trademarks, assistance to interested parties is rendered constantly. Information also is available on the web site of NIIP.
VII. Matters concerning mutual exchange of trademark documentation and information
The exchange of trademarks documentation is realized in accordance with bilateral agreements with patent offices of 43 countries.
VIII. Matters concerning education and training including technical assistance to developing countries (please indicate URLs of web pages of the Office’s website wherever appropriate)
NIIP participate in international seminars, trainings in patent offices abroad; they also study at the Rospatent 3 experts on trade marks. In July 2006 NIIP held seminar “Registration of trade marks in Kazakhstan”.
